15th IPSW – International Passive Sampling

logopraha

IPSW is a globally recognized meeting point for the passive sampling (PS) community. It brings together scientists, practitioners, and policymakers to advance PS science and expand its real‑world application. The meeting offers a unique opportunity to exchange experiences on innovative and practical uses of PS, explore pathways to regulatory acceptance, and shape the future of passive sampling in support of risk assessment, policy, and environmental decision‑making.

The conference programme will cover development and application of PS in water, sediment/soil, ambient and indoor air: Hydrophobic and Polar compounds; Metals, and inorganic compounds; Development of novel passive sampling devices; Application of PS in case studies and monitoring programmes; Toxicity assessment coupled with passive sampling methods; QA/QC, data analysis and standardisation; Strategies for implementation of PS in legislation.

Two NORMAN satellite workshops will be part of the IPSW conference:

  1. Meeting the Challenges of Reliable Analysis of PS for Hydrophilic & Hydrophobic Compounds
  2. Harmonising and extending knowledge of polymer-chemical interactions

Nontarget2026 - Nontarget screening of organic chemicals in the environment

PBS.pngThe EU This international conference series is dedicated to non-target screening of organic chemicals in the environment, supporting comprehensive chemical risk assessment. “Nontarget 2026” will spotlight the latest advances in non-target screening - from analytical technologies to real-world applications and integration into risk assessment, particularly within the framework of Zero Pollution Strategies in the EU and beyond. The conference will address five main topics: Topic 1: Analytical frontiers; Topic 2: Computational tools; Topic 3: Transformation products and persistent, mobile, toxic substances; Topic 4: Nontarget screening & hazard assessment Topic 5: Application in chemical management.
The conference will have a mixed format with keynote lectures from leaders in the field, shorter oral and poster presentations of participants as well as workshops.
